How to Register and Access the KEB Document Database in COMBIVIS 6
COMBIVIS 6 gives you instant access to all the technical documentation you need for KEB automation products. This free software includes manuals, CAD models, and comprehensive resources.
Follow these three steps to create your account, obtain your registration key, and unlock the complete document database for selecting, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting your KEB equipment.
Watch the video above for a visual walk-through of the registration process.
Step 1: Registration Link in COMBIVIS
Download and open COMBIVIS 6 if you haven’t already. Unregistered versions display “Unregistered Demo-Version” at the top of the program window and cannot access the document database. To begin the free registration process, select Help from the toolbar, then click Free customer registration (Figure 1).
A registration window will appear. Skip the company name and registration key fields for now, and click the Visit KEB Homepage hyperlink at the bottom. This opens KEB-Automation.com in your browser, where you’ll complete the registration process (Figure 2).
Step 2: Create a Login on the KEB Website
On the login screen, click the Not registered yet? Sign up here! hyperlink (Figure 3).
Fill in your information, check the Yes box, and click Send. You’ll receive a confirmation email from KEB verifying that your account has been created (Figure 4).
Open the confirmation email from KEB Automation and click Confirm Registration to complete your registration. Next, click the COMBIVIS Registration button (Figure 3).
You’ll need to log in again with your new account before you can view your registration key. Click the Login Required button.
When logging in, click the COMBIVIS Registration button again to display your registration key.
Note: If you don’t see the registration key immediately, log in again and click COMBIVIS Registration until your key appears.
Step 3: Add Registration Key to COMBIVIS 6
When you gain access, copy and paste the company name into the corresponding field in COMBIVIS 6, then copy and paste the registration key into the same popup window. Click OK (Figure 6).
A confirmation window will display Registration Successful!, click OK. You’ll be prompted to restart COMBIVIS 6 to apply your registration. Click Yes to restart the software.
After reopening COMBIVIS 6, your company name will appear at the top of the program window, confirming your registration is complete.
Adding & Managing KEB Documents
The second part of gaining access to KEB’s document database will cover how to find and download manuals to the document database.
With COMBIVIS 6 open, navigate to Tools and select “Manage KEB Documents”.
In the Available Documents tab, you can find the package of manuals you want to download to your software. In our example, we will select the “Manuals [International, English]”; however, you can select from a wide variety of manual libraries in languages from German, English, and French to Russian, Chinese, Italian, and more.
When you select the manual library (libraries) you need, then click on “Install Selected Packages”.
You will see a progress bar appear as your files are downloading. When the download is complete, you can go back to the tools bar and select the “Tools” dropdown and select “KEB Documents.” From there you can find all the manuals you now have available in your copy of COMBIVIS 6.
Conclusion
With your COMBIVIS 6 registration complete, and your desired packages of manuals installed, you can access the document database to find manuals, CAD files, and other technical resources. If you have questions, contact KEB America for assistance.
