S6-K Servo Drive from KEB now with VARAN fieldbus

KEB America announces the addition of the VARAN fieldbus to their S6-K Servo Drive. The updated drive is scheduled for release at the end of September 2018.

KEB control and automation products are designed to integrate with many existing installations and third-party components. With this in mind, they have moved forward with the addition of the VARAN fieldbus to the S6-K (or Compact) Servo Drive. VARAN is an Ethernet-based system bus created by Sigmatek and is capable of managing communication between master and slave devices in many types of applications. With this addition to the servo drive technology, KEB is able to offer a more flexible VFD than others currently on the market.

The KEB America S6 Servo Drive is a compact drive ideal for high-performance servo applications requiring real-time communication or integrated brake control. The drives are CE-certified and have functional safety capabilities according to PLe standards.
