PRODUCTION: Production Planner

Job Description

KEB has an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in our Production Department. The Planner is responsible for planning and developing the master production schedule for manufacturing products to meet delivery dates and/or achieve inventory levels or other distribution goals. Utilizes knowledge of production specifications, manufacturing processes, materials availability, and application of mathematical planning tools to develop plans. Monitors status of production results and prepares reports on results against plan.

The Planner reports to the VP of Operations

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule usage of production materials to ensure  optimal production levels
  • Evaluate suppliers timeliness and match according to  goals
  • Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
  • Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
  • Address issues regarding quality and production
  • Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
  • Manage deadlines based on project expectations
  • Negotiate pricing as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • ERP system experience (SAP a plus)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

 

Education/Experience/Licenses

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, certifications, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • 4-Year in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related fields of study (or) equivalent amount of work experience.
  • Forklift certification (will train)
