Our gearmotor designs come in standard or low backlash versions to meet precision positioning requirements that off-the-shelf alternatives cannot match.

Our industrial gearboxes come in various output configurations, including incline, parallel offset, and right angle.

These configurations support a variety of installation requirements and mechanical layouts, offering high flexibility for engineers designing custom automation systems.

Available as helical bevel, parallel offset, worm, or inline configurations. Units are offered with solid and hollow bore outputs.

The availability of an inline gear reducer option makes KEB gearboxes particularly well-suited for compact drive packages requiring precise axial alignment.

Heavy-duty Construction and Performance

Gearmotor housings are made from cast iron to protect the motor from the harshest environments and vibrations. This heavy-duty construction minimizes thermal deformation and enhances vibration resistance, ensuring stable performance even in continuous-duty cycles.

High-quality and efficient helical and bevel gearing is utilized in 2-stage and 3-stage designs. These high-performance gearbox designs achieve efficiency ratings up to 96%, depending on configuration and load conditions, minimizing energy loss and extending operational lifespan.

When paired with a KEB motor, the complete gearmotor system provides seamless torque transfer and optimal power density. This integrated approach eliminates compatibility issues common with mixed vendor solutions while ensuring BABA compliance for government and infrastructure projects.

 

Customization Options for Your Application

Customized Outputs
KEB can provide gearmotors with custom flanges or shafts to facilitate mounting to the machine. It is also possible to provide an output flange or shaft on both output sides. This allows for drive redundancy or load sharing in dual-sided transmission applications, improving uptime and equipment lifespan.

Food Grade Lubricants
For use in food production, KEB gearmotors can be provided with food-grade lubricants and greases. These units meet USDA-H1 standards and support hygienic design requirements for packaging, bottling, and conveyor systems.

Extra Environmental Protection
For use in washdown or corrosive environments, the gearmotors can be supplied with extra paint protection and seals. Options include IP65-rated enclosures, epoxy coatings, and enhanced ingress protection for aggressive environments like wastewater treatment, chemical processing, or outdoor duty.
